Oracle Announcement: Customer-Driven Product Updates

Oracle JD Edwards has once again announced significant customer-driven product updates. The following enhancements will empower companies on their journey to become digital enterprises:

UX One Features

  • Analytic Components navigation, context menu for applications, visual analysis of current business conditions
  • Mobile Employee Time Entry tablet application to easily capture, review, and submit time through a simple interface
  • Mobile Inventory Transfer & Cycle Count tablet applications to increase accuracy of inventory management information
  • Mobile Foundation to leverage Oracle Mobile Application Framework (MAF) 2.4 when building new mobile applications
  • Integration with Oracle Content and Experience Cloud Service to add, edit, and view Cloud documents whether they are specifically related to JD Edwards transactions or not

Customer-Driven ERP Enhancements

  • Manufacturing Production Execution Process Simplification to simplify and streamline the execution of the production process, including a new work order scheduling application, a new processing option, automated shortage management, and more
  • Drag and drop any operation to a new date to immediately trigger a visible work order update and schedule change

Procurement Tools

  • Basket Pricing for Procurement, implementing the Basket Pricing strategy of applying discounts, adjustments, and offers when defined groups of items are purchased together
  • Solution Blueprint to guide JD Edwards customers through automating procure-to-pay business processes


  • JD Edwards notification system enables workers to stay in touch with conditions and events throughout the enterprise, and take action even when they are not signed on to the JDE system
  • Design notifications to specific processes, actions, and rules
  • Subscribe to and manage notifications on the new “My Subscriptions” page
  • Customize notification delivery methods as they run periodically and automatically

Other updates include Grower and Blend Management, Sales Order Management & Oracle Global Order Promising Integration, Real Estate Management, Address Book and Financials updates, and legislative and localization updates.
