New announcements for the Oracle JD Edwards community were presented by Lyle Ekdahl, Senior Vice President of Oracle JD Edwards Product Development during his keynote presentation to hundreds of JDE users. The two biggest announcements were:
- A new 9.2 release is coming very soon (more details below)
- Oracle JD Edwards World and E1 support has been extended to 2028 (previously 2023)
The latest JDE release has enhanced features in these four areas:
1. User Experience
In the upcoming release, UX One now has over 50 prebuilt landing pages, form personalization capabilities, and better search functionality.
2. Digital Business
New JDE product enhancements are aligned with digital business trends and allow users to decrease manual processes and paperwork, as well as collect more data, more easily, to enable better business decisions.
With Oracle Public Cloud users can now setup a JDE environment using one-click provisioning. Read three signs you’re ready to host JDE in the cloud, and watch this short video to learn more.
4. ERP Enhancements
The latest version of JDE also includes new features for ERP automation as well as the JDE Content and Experience cloud – this new addition allows users to easily attached images and documents to objects and to communicate internally via the social channel.
Oracle JDE labs is working on some cool projects – some of which we could see incorporated into the product in the near future, including: virtual assistants, machine learning, beacon technology, and a cloud container technology.
